In 1976 the neighbouring parishes of Churchill and Sarsden combined to create Churchill & Sarsden Parish Council. The parishes, which are near Chipping Norton, are part of West Oxfordshire District Council and within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
